Delaware Valley head coach G.A. Mangus was chosen as the Coach of the Year and Moravian freshman running back Chris Jacoubs was named the Rookie of the Year in the other individual awards selected by the Middle Atlantic Conference head coaches.

Trichilo, a junior from Dunmore, Pa., had one of the top offensive seasons in the history of the conference. He broke conference records for yards in a season (2,079), rushing touchdowns (27), yards per game (207.9) and tied the conference record for points in a season (162). In the process he became just the seventh player in NCAA history to rush for more than 2,000 yards in a season. He joins Dante Brown of Marietta, Dan Pugh of Mount Union, R.J. Bowers of Grove City (twice), Carey Bender of Coe and Ricky Gales of Simpson on that exclusive list.

DeMoss, a senior from Myersville, Md., was fourth in the MAC in sacks per game (0.75) and led the conference in tackles for loss per game (2.20). He recorded 67 total tackles from his nose guard position, which was second on the Pioneers.

Albright quarterback John Port was named to the first team after setting conference records for passing yards in a season (3,397) and total offense (3,358). Port finished the season 237-of-374 for 3,397 yards and 29 touchdowns.

He rushed for 114 yards on the season and averaged 5.7 yards per carry.

Leading the receiving corps is Susquehanna senior Mark Bartosic. Bartosic was named to the first team for the fourth straight season becoming just the seventh player in MAC history to achieve that distinction. The senior caught 78 passes for 1,313 yards and 13 touchdowns. He leaves Susquehanna as the MAC career leader in receptions (275), yards receiving (4,733) and touchdowns (55). He finished sixth in Division III history in catches and second in receiving yards. Bartosic was also named first team special teams player after ranking second in the MAC in punt return average and third in kickoff return average.
